Warren Turner’s Journey

Warren Turner has been apart of SGI since 2011 when he enrolled on to one of our sports education courses to develop and nurture his skills as a young coach. Completing multiple FA coaching awards alongside recognised National Vocational Qualifications in Sports Coaching, he has gone on to learn priceless techniques with us, to become a successful coach. Warren had the chance to spend a summer coaching in America back in 2014, educating enthusiastic kids about ‘soccer’ whilst travelling across some fantastic states which undoubtedly improved his all round knowledge as a person, not just a sports coach. Warren stated that learning with SGI “benefited me whilst coaching in America.” After spending a Summer stateside, Turner embarked on the next step of his journey, University.

Warren attended the University of Chester, a well regarded place of education, boasting “Outstanding” for it’s teacher training. Most recently Warren Turner made his friends, family and all of us here at SGI, very proud by graduating with a degree in Sports Coaching and Science, no mean feat and a wonderful achievement. Combining part-time work with SGI in his final year of studying, it allowed Warren to earn a little, but more importantly, maintain his contact hours in the coaching circle.

Congratulations to Warren on his degree. SGI would like to wish him all the very best of luck on his future endeavours and hope to catch up with him soon.
